The LCA’s Chat & Play afternoons began in August 2023, with residents invited to the Peace Memorial Hall to spend the afternoon playing board games, cards and chatting.

Event organiser, Lyndall Schliebs, says, ‘it is so great to see everyone get together and enjoy each other’s company.’

The Peace Memorial Hall is the perfect venue, with close parking at the front and back, and easy access for all.

At noon, guests enjoy a cup of soup and sourdough, as they mingle and meet their fellow residents.

They then head to the tables to get stuck into games of cards or board games.

Throughout this, conversations are held of great meaning; be it forming new friendships or solving the world’s problems.

Afternoon tea is served later, with guests enjoying scones with jam and cream, as well as cake and sandwiches.

“We welcome absolutely everyone,” says Lyndall. “It is a fantastic opportunity to meet new people in a fun and relaxed environment.”

The LCA’s Chat & Play is held on the first Wednesday of each month from 12pm at the Littlehampton Peace Memorial Hall.
